It’s a very small scale model of the Yamato.

Nice! I gotta add more to mine over time.

E6430. A downgrade from my school-given Yoga Notebook but it works well enough for what I need so far. Gonna need to buy a gaming laptop soon.

I work as an intern for Yazaki NA.

that was the same color and format Michigan license plates were from the early ‘80s up until the ‘90s.

I wish we still had them and not the bland ones we’ve now got.

gaming laptops are a waste of money tbh
thicc, (well some are pretty thin now) expensive, run hot, sacrifice battery life, poor build quality, usually meddling screens and input devices, generally don’t last as long as other notebooks. i’d personally just get a nice laptop and build a gaming PC

I’m not too fond of it after a week, but its decent.

Why does that looks like a spaceship, not the WW2 battleship?

I’d rather of a laptop that’s a jack of all trades honestly. Or a decent gaming PC that can at least handle STO on high settings at 30fps+ and is easily transportable.

Really? Cool! More plates need colour.

I beat the shit out of mine and it kept working. I dropped it so hard on a concrete floor one day that I bent the bottom case. Never missed a beat.

Because the greatest anime of all time is why.

Time to learn yourself some knowledge.

yep. up until the mid ‘70s, they’d change colors every few years, then in ‘76 they did a bicentennial plate:
then it was white on black until 1983, when it switched to white on blue:
and I was wrong, blue plates were issued all the way up to 2007.

Well you’re more knowledgeable on this than I am. What would you suggest? Is it possible to get the desired performance out of a desktop smaller than a mid-tower?

I always like US plates. In Canada we have very little variation and customization. I know you guys can pay for tons of different designs (depending on the state).
That being said, we just got some really pretty plates here in BC (can’t post pics at work).

you can do an ITX build which are becoming increasingly common... they’re around the size of a modern day gaming console like xbox one. if size is a limiting factor i’d build an ITX rig

Looks like that’s what I’m gonna do. Let the parts hunt commence.....If my lunch break hadn’t ended.

Ha that was my previous lap top. It died, motherboard issue. Not bad otherwise. In this day and age with computer so cheap you think they would give the intern something newer than 5 years old.

Oh yes! I could definitely do this in a month or two, thank you!

sure, it’d be a good all around machine and you can play new games quite nicely on it as well

Where at?

Nortown Community Development Corporation in North East Detroit. It’s a small non-profit that I’ll be doing a research project for over the summer. I also get to live in Wayne State’s housing for free during the internship. I’m a Public Health student at UM-Dearborn. It’ll be my first time moving out which I’m hoping helps my mental health. It’s also sweet to find a public health internship that is paid.
